Bill is the firm’s Managing Partner and heads our Property & Private Client department. With a broad range of experience spanning 25 years, Bill’s personal practice concentrates on advising business clients on property & related matters, including commercial leases and business transfers. He also has a special interest in the law relating to the elderly and mental capacity, including the Court of Protection.

Educated at Reading School and Southampton University, Bill qualified as a solicitor in 1983 with Pitmans where he remained until co-founding DMP in 1987.

Reflecting the firm’s commitment to access to justice and the local community, Bill has a long-standing interest in legal aid policy, both as an author and in representing the legal profession, as well as serving as Honorary Solicitor to Reading CAB. He plays French horn for Reading Symphony Orchestra and remains a (comparatively) active rugby player with the ‘Old Recks’ of Redingensians RUFC.
