Bill qualified as a solicitor in 1983 with Pitmans where he remained until co-founding DMP in 1987. With a broad range of experience spanning over 30 years,
Bill’s personal practice concentrates on advising business and voluntary sector clients on their legal affairs including property, strategic & operational matters. He heads DMPs legal teams covering commercial, property and private client work. He also has a specialist experience in the fields of landlord & tenant law and mental capacity, including Court of Protection deputyship.
Reflecting the firm’s commitment to the wider community, Bill has a long-standing interest in access to justice issues, both locally and nationally at a policy level having represented the legal profession through Legal Aid Practitioner's Group of which he is a past Chair. He served as an Honorary Solicitor to Reading Citizens Advice Bureau for over 20 years and remains actively involved with local charities.
From his student years at Reading School and Southampton University, Bill has pursued his twin loves of sport and music and remains acitvely involved with Reading Rams RUFC, Reading Rowing Club and Reading Symphony Orchestra.
